Risk Disclosure
The real risks of using YUKUZ and of holding cryptocurrency. We would rather you understood these than agreed to a wall of text you did not read.
The short version.
- Cryptocurrency can lose value quickly, and you can lose everything you put in.
- YUKUZ does not promise profit, income or any particular result.
- YUKUZ is educational software. It is not financial advice.
- Today, YUKUZ does not place trades. Rule Bots save your configuration. Nothing is bought or sold on your behalf.
1. Prices move, sometimes violently
Cryptocurrency prices are volatile. An asset can fall a long way in a short time, including overnight and at weekends when you are not watching. Past movements tell you nothing reliable about future ones.
2. You can lose your capital
You can lose some or all of the money you put into cryptocurrency. Only commit money you can genuinely afford to lose. Do not borrow to invest.
3. Liquidity can disappear
A market that looks liquid can become thin, especially for smaller assets or during stress. When that happens, buying or selling at the price you expect may not be possible, and the gap between the buying and selling price can widen sharply.
4. Your exchange is a risk of its own
Your assets sit at your exchange, not with us.
An exchange can suspend trading, freeze withdrawals, restrict your account, change its rules or its fees, suffer a security breach, or fail entirely. If that happens, your assets are exposed, and there may be little you or we can do.
YUKUZ never holds your funds or your crypto, and cannot withdraw them. That protects you from us, but it does not protect you from your exchange.
5. Exchanges go down
Outages and maintenance windows are normal. While an exchange is unavailable you may be unable to act, and information YUKUZ shows you about that account may be unavailable or out of date.
6. Interfaces and keys fail
Exchange APIs change, rate limit, return errors or stop responding. An API key can expire, be revoked, or be created with the wrong permissions. Any of those will stop YUKUZ from reading your account, and YUKUZ will tell you it could not rather than guess.
7. Data can be late, wrong or missing
Market information reaches us through other people's systems. It can be delayed, incomplete, revised or simply wrong. Do not treat any number on a screen, ours or anyone else's, as certainly correct at the moment you look at it.
8. Prices differ between venues
The same asset trades at different prices on different exchanges at the same moment. A price shown for reference, including the prices on our public homepage which come from a third party, will not necessarily match what your exchange would give you.
9. Software has faults
YUKUZ is software, and software has bugs. We test it and we take correctness seriously, but we cannot promise it is free of defects. A defect could cause incorrect display, a failed action, or an interruption.
10. Infrastructure fails
Your internet connection, your device, your browser, our hosting provider, our payment provider and the wider network can all fail. Some of these are outside anyone's control.
11. Your rules are yours
You decide what a rule says. YUKUZ checks that a configuration is complete and consistent, and refuses to save one it cannot represent honestly.
That check is not a judgement about whether your rule is a good idea. A rule can be perfectly valid and still be unsuitable for you, poorly reasoned, or expensive if it were ever acted on. Consistency is not wisdom.
12. About automation, stated plainly
Today, YUKUZ does not execute anything.
- A Rule Bot is a saved configuration. Saving it does not buy or sell.
- The runtime that would act on a rule is switched off.
- Live trading is off.
- The software cannot place or cancel an order. That capability is not granted to our exchange connector at all.
If automated execution is offered in future, it will bring risks that do not exist today, including a rule firing at a moment you did not intend, firing repeatedly, acting on bad data, or continuing to act while you are asleep or unaware. We will update this disclosure before any such feature is turned on, not after.
13. Rules have limits
Any rule is a simplification. A condition that looked sensible in calm conditions can behave badly in a fast market, a thin market, or an unusual event. No set of rules anticipates everything.
14. History does not predict the future
Any historical illustration, chart or example anywhere in YUKUZ shows what did happen, not what will happen. Illustrations exclude many real world frictions. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance.
15. What the Intelligence Report is, and is not
The YUKUZ Intelligence Report is educational research, written and reviewed by a person.
- It is not personalised financial advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything.
- It does not know your circumstances, your finances or your goals.
- It deliberately contains no price targets, no forecasts, no sentiment scores and no numeric scenario ranges.
- The order in which assets appear is a presentation order. It does not imply expected return, conviction or performance.
- It reflects a point in time and can be out of date by the time you read it.
- It cites its sources so you can check them yourself. Please do.
16. Market data has limits
The market information we show is a partial view assembled from public sources. It is not a complete picture of any market, and it is not a substitute for your exchange's own data.
17. We depend on others
YUKUZ relies on services we do not control, including our payment provider, our hosting and delivery providers, our email provider, the exchange you connect and the public price source used on our homepage. A problem at any of them can affect YUKUZ.
18. Security
Online accounts are targets. Phishing, credential stuffing, malware and SIM swapping are all real.
Please protect yourself: use a unique password, turn on two factor authentication, store your recovery codes safely, create exchange API keys with the narrowest permissions available, and never enable withdrawal permission on a key you give to any third party, including us. We do not need it and we cannot use it.
19. Rules change
Cryptocurrency regulation is developing and differs by country. Changes in law, tax treatment or the availability of services can affect what you can do, what your exchange can do, and what YUKUZ can offer. A change may take effect with little notice.
20. Stablecoins are not guaranteed
An asset described as a stablecoin is not risk free. It can lose its peg, its reserves or their management can be opaque or disputed, its issuer can freeze balances, and it can be subject to regulatory action.
21. Protocols carry their own risk
Digital assets depend on the networks and smart contracts behind them. Those can contain flaws, can be congested, can suffer failures of governance, and can be attacked. Holding an asset means accepting the risk of the technology underneath it.
22. Forks, exploits and token events
Networks fork. Contracts are exploited. Tokens are migrated, renamed, rebased, redenominated or abandoned. Any of these can change or destroy the value of a holding, and can affect whether a rule you wrote still refers to what you thought it did.
23. No guaranteed outcome
YUKUZ does not guarantee profit, income, capital protection or any particular outcome, and never will. Nobody at YUKUZ is permitted to promise you a return. If you see such a claim anywhere, it did not come from us.
24. No guarantee of uninterrupted service
We aim to keep YUKUZ available, but we do not promise continuous availability. Planned maintenance, provider incidents and faults all cause interruptions.
Get advice if you need it
